Understanding Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the central nervous system, which includes the brain and spinal cord.

It's largely considered an autoimmune disorder, meaning the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues.

Because the exact cause of MS isn't fully understood, preventing it isn't currently possible, and there's no known cure.

MS is the most common autoimmune disorder impacting the central nervous system, affecting approximately 2 million people worldwide as of 2008.

Conventional Approaches to MS Treatment

Over the last two decades, several disease-modifying drugs have been developed.

These medications can reduce the number of attacks in the relapsing-remitting form of MS, where symptoms come and go.

However, how much these drugs truly lessen the overall burden and disability of MS isn't entirely clear.

Since a cure for MS isn't available, treatment typically focuses on helping patients recover from attacks, slowing down the disease's progression, and managing symptoms.

The primary goal of symptomatic treatment is to eliminate or alleviate symptoms that interfere with a patient's functional abilities and quality of life.

Many widely used drugs and treatment methods for MS symptoms are still considered "off-label" in most countries.

This means they haven't been thoroughly investigated in clinical trials or officially approved by health authorities for MS.

About Us

Deep TMS Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

Sunny Skies Healthcare ™ offers effective, safe, and non-invasive treatment for MS using Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS).

This therapy works by using magnetic stimulation on brain structures and networks, leading to significant improvement for patients.

One of the key advantages of this treatment is that it's an outpatient procedure, meaning it doesn't require hospitalization or anesthesia.

It's also generally well-tolerated and has minimal systemic side effects, especially when compared to the often harsh and unwanted side effects associated with oral medications commonly prescribed for MS patients.

Clinical Studies

In a double-blind, sham-controlled study using

BrainsWay Deep TMS ™ , MS patients showed significant improvements in measures of fatigue and depressive symptoms after a six-week Deep TMS treatment over the motor cortex.

Another double-blind, sham-controlled Deep TMS study found that real Deep TMS treatment led to significant improvements in both the speed and endurance of walking ability in MS patients.

Deep TMS treatment for MS patients is approved by the CE.
