Eligibility & Safety

This section helps you quickly determine if your patient is a suitable candidate for BrainsWay Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS®) Therapy.

It covers both the key inclusion criteria for treatment and the most critical safety contraindications that would prevent a patient from undergoing the procedure.

Key Eligibility Criteria

✔Patient has trialled two or more classes of antidepressants.

✔Patient has not had TMS treatment before (for Medicare rebate eligibility).

✔ Commit to a 4-8 week schedule of treatments

Primary Contraindications

Patient safety is our top priority. Please confirm the patient does NOT have:

✖Pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices.

✖Metal implants in or near the head (e.g., Cochlear Implants, VP Shunt, Aneurysm Clips).

✖History of seizures or Epilepsy.

✖History of Stroke or Retinal Detachment may require further evaluation.
